It’s been confirmed: Sandals Emerald Bay will close its doors on August 15, 2024, marking the beginning of a transformation into Beaches Exuma, the first Beaches property in The Bahamas

From Couples-Only to Family-Focused Sandals, known for its adults-only, romantic resort model, is repositioning this expansive Exuma property to appeal to families. The newly envisioned Beaches Exuma will include:
- Multi-bedroom villas, suites, and connecting rooms
- Expanded dining options across more restaurants
- Kids Camp, splash deck, and additional play areas for younger guests
- Retention of some existing amenities, like the Red Lane Spa and the Greg Norman–designed 18-hole golf course
